Shaam2009
Every year, the Syrian Computer Society (SCS) launches an important activity called "Shaam" exposition for those who are interested in ICT sector.
The exhibition is one of the most important opportunities for communication and showing products and exchanging experiences.
The SCS sees Shaam2009 exhibition as a significant activity because it serves one of its chief goals related to contribute to build IT and telecommunication sectors in Syria.
Governmental institutes, private sector and civil society cooperate together to realize this goal.
The SCS is proud of its institutes and its achievements throughout its process that helped spread IT and information culture among Syrian citizens and complete initiatives with state ministers and governmental institutes.
It expanded the range of its interest to cover all Syrian cities then it gradually moved to specialized fields including projects of backing, Arabic language, translating technical terms into Arabic language and drawing up standards to improve the Syrian IT products.
The society attaches great importance to youth and concentrate on supporting creative initiatives that lead to set up new companies.
Therefore, the SCS set up two incubators for IT and telecommunication, and it prepares to set up other two ones.
It also organized contests to attract youths and to motivate them to join the incubators.
On the other hand, the SCS seeks to cement ties with national, regional and international institutes to reach its goal.
Shaam exhibition helps companies that search for IT systems and solutions meeting their requirements. It has developed to compete with regional expositions.
We hope that this exposition would be of great benefit to everyone, and would meet ambitions of both exhibitors and visitors.
We also hope that national companies would benefit from this opportunity to realize spread for which we work hard.
Finally, I would like to thank all those who contributed to the SCS exposition's success, especially organization and media committees and Arab Fairs Group.
