Shaam 2009
"Shaam" exposition has become an annual anniversary for those who are interested in ICT sector. It is now the destination to be briefed on up-to-date devices, solutions, software and applications.
It is one of the most successful ICT expositions in Syria and it launches all new services in ICT sector, Director of Marketing Department in the Syrian Computer Society's Internet Service Provider “SCS-net” Mrs. Fatin Shalabi said.
In an interview with her, Mr. Shalabi added: "During the exposition, we directly receive subscribers' opinions about services which we offer... this helps us evaluate the new services our marketing plan will offer in 2010".
Most of Shaam exposition's visitors are interested in this sector and they have good experience in this regard.
The new services are divided into two parts: one for consumers and the other for professionals.
In order to help visitors to understand the new services, the SCS-net pavilion includes this year lectures to be given by young people. In addition, consumers would see "live demo broadcasting" for the TV channels which they have no idea about them.
Mrs. Shalabi has been working for SCS-net since its launch in August 2000 and has proved to be a hard working person.
Before the year 2005, subscription in the SCS-net was only allowed for the SCS members and vocational unions, but later it is opened as for all private ISPs have entered the market and enhanced the SCS-net competitive position in the market.
The SCS-net ISP is a non-profit business and it offers internet services related to disseminate information culture and increase the knowledge development in Syria.
