ENG. HANNA: EXPOSITION CEMENTS RELATIONS BETWEEN VISITORS AND EXHIBITORS
Shaam2009

After 15 years of hard working, Eng. Ramona Hanna, owner of "Firm ware" company says: "My ambition is to see my company as the first maintenance center in Syria".

Her company is specialized in maintaining "Apple Macintosh" machines which she described as "the strongest".

Eng. Hanna echoed statement of Macintosh machines innovator Steve Jobs in which he said: " Macintosh machines are strong and distinguish because of software not hardware".

Moreover, she added that Macintosh machines can not be compared with PC computers, affirming that they (Mac machines) are very practical and easy to be used.

"Most foreign films show Macintosh machines, and these machines are available in internet cafes in the US and European States", Eng. Hanna said.

The fear of using these machines stems from not being familiar with their advantages even by a lot of specialists.

Syria and most of neighboring states do not prefer to use Macintosh machines due to their high prices in comparison with PC assembled machines.

But, if they reconsider the economic feasibility, they would find that PC machines requires maintenance after two years maximum.

"Macintosh machines' prices are expensive but they do not need maintenance at all", Eng. Hanna said, citing that some of her customers have used the machines for more than 10years without notable breakdowns.

Moreover, it is very difficult for viruses to attack Macintosh machines.

From faculty to "Firm ware"

Following her graduation from the faculty of engineering, electron department, Eng. Hanna, who was fond of repairing machines, joined her professor who opened for her the door of Apple Macintosh company.

She was extremely grateful to her professor, and talked about here experience with pleasure recalling a two-year training course in Apple Macintosh company

"I was always saying that physical exhaustion should not hinder my success", Eng. Hanna said.

The 20-year old lady did not allow any person to help her carry devices and cartons during a two-year training in the company.

"My goal was not showing off", she said, adding :" I have chosen this career (repair), so I have to bear the burden".

After spending two years in Apple Macintosh company, her family supported her to open an office, called "ware", with two of her friends, but it was closed after a short time due to familial circumstances.

Later, Eng. Hanna reopened the office and changed its name to be "Firm ware" which is known now as one of the most important centers for repairing Macintosh machines in Syria.

"Our company is interested in repairing machines rather than selling them...selling comes after the customer's trust in our services".

Opportunity to exchange experiences

For the second time, her company is taking part in Shaam exposition which she considers as an opportunity to strengthen relations between visitors and exhibitors.

"Besides cementing relations between visitors and exhibitors, the exposition is an opportunity for exhibitors themselves to exchange experiences and to be briefed on up-t-date technology", Eng. Hanna added.

Regarding her notes about the 1st participation of her company in Shaam 2008, Eng. Hanna affirmed the necessity of attracting visitors who are specialized in technology.

She expressed optimism about the current session, wishing success for Shaam2009 .

Eng. Hanna would give a lecture, on the sideline of the exposition, entitled " i phone is more than phone".
