The 13th Shaamexpo session and its annual development raise questions about the mechanism of organization and Organization Committee's readiness to offer the best to participants and visitors as well as stands' division and changes.
Shaamexpo interviewed on November,9,2008, Mrs. Abeer Jevi, the Shaamexpo Organization Committee's Deputy Head at the Syrian Computer Society 's (SCS) headquarters to answer the following questions:
- Throughout the past years you took part in organizing Shaam expositions. Would you please give us an idea about the development in the exposition?
Each year we have a new thing in the exposition which is very important in the region, especially from an organization view point. We got benefit from our experiences in the 13 session of Shaamexpo. We are able to develop it by taking into consideration the notes of visitors and participants. Actually we highly respect all viewpoints and we study the possibility of applying them next years.
- After authorizing a special fairs company to mount the exposition, has the committee's role minimized to be supervision and not executive?
We are still contributing in organization process executively and as supervisor because our experience is good. It is a big Fairs Company but we can give it positive points and we hold permanent consultation to reach the best. Any participant can contact either the company or the committee.
- what about facilities of transportation to the fair City, times of visit and visit cards?
Buses will move each half an hour to and from the Fair city starting at 11:30 am from "Bab Toma" square. Visit time is from 12:00 am till 10:00pm. The first two days of the exposition are due to be for interested in technology.
This year we expanded the distribution of invitations by advertisements.
- What about organizing stands?
Stands are organized according to specialization, so the visitor can move directly to the sector in which he/she is interested.
- What are facilities to be offered by the committee to participants to show their products in a professional way?
We are in the exposition to help the participants through the organization company, and we can offer them whatever they want to equip their stands including furniture. In the case of negligence, the participants can come directly to us.
- As for reporters who will cover the event, what do you offer to them as facilities?
As usual, there is a press center and bulletin as well as press release. In addition, internet and transportation are available. We are seeking to facilitate their task and to make their interviews in the exposition.
